24K Male Guppy

A solid 24K-gold guppy, with the body and tail running the same rich metallic yellow from head to tail.

Care

• Water: 22-28°C, pH 6.8-7.8. Very tolerant of hard water, which suits Cape Town tap water well.
• Tank: Minimum 20 litres per guppy, 45cm wide or larger. Heavily planted and well oxygenated.
• Males: Males are territorial towards one another. One male per tank, or space them out with planting that breaks sightlines.
• Diet: Quality flake daily plus live or frozen food. Guppies breed readily on a full diet.
• Breeding: Livebearers, giving birth to free-swimming fry. Separate the young or provide dense planting if you want them to survive.

The gold is strongest under full-spectrum light and on a varied diet. Males are territorial; keep one per tank.
