DietBetta fish are insectivores by nature. Feed a varied diet of high-protein pellets or crumbles as a staple, supplemented with frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia. Feed small portions once or twice daily.
CompatibilityFemales can live together in a sorority, ideally a group of three or more of similar size in a well-planted tank with plenty of hiding spots. A single female also does well on her own. They can live with peaceful community fish such as neon tetras, corydoras, kuhli loaches, and snails. Avoid fin-nippers like tiger barbs. Males are territorial and should never be housed with other males.
