SetupSetting up a goldfish tank:Coldwater Setup Goldfish do NOT need heaters — they prefer 18-24C. They produce more waste than tropical fish, so over-filtration is essential.Tank Size Goldfish need large tanks. A single fancy goldfish needs 80L minimum. Comets need 150L+ as they grow large.Filtration Strong filtration rated for 2-3x your tank volume. Goldfish are messy.Substrate Smooth gravel or sand. Goldfish like to sift through substrate.Koi Koi are pond fish only. They grow to 60cm+ and need large, well-filtered ponds.
Care LevelGoldfish care:Water Changes 30-50% weekly — they produce a lot of waste.Feeding Goldfish will overeat. Feed small portions twice daily, what they can consume in 2 minutes.Health Swim bladder issues from overeating. Ich from temperature fluctuations. Goldfish are coldwater — don't add them to heated tropical tanks.Pond Care Koi ponds need seasonal maintenance, including winter preparation and spring cleaning.

Please ensure you can provide a suitable, cycled tank before ordering. Young bettas may mature after arrival.
