Iridescent blue paradise fish. Hardy and cool-water tolerant.
About this product
A blue paradise gourami. An iridescent blue form of the paradise fish, with darker blue along the fin margins and the characteristic red eye. Hardy and tolerant of cooler water, but it can be boisterous with slow-moving tankmates, so keep it with suitably energetic company.

DietCarnivore — live and frozen foods such as bloodworm, brine shrimp, mysis and small insects. Will accept quality pellet and flake, but should not live on dry food alone. Feed twice daily.
CompatibilityBoisterous and territorial, especially males toward one another. May nip the fins of slow, long-finned tankmates. Best kept as a pair, or one male with females, alongside robust and active company.
SetupHardy and undemanding. Provide a well-covered tank with a few floating plants and hiding places, and secure the lid — they jump. Moderate flow.
Care LevelWeekly partial water changes of 25%. Very tolerant of cool water and a wide pH range. Watch for fin nipping and separate the males if fighting starts.
